Utilization of Open Source Software Packages in Libraries over the last several years, open source software (OSS), which may be obtained without difficulty, has amassed a large amount of popularity and attention. This is an attempt to describe the idea of open source software (OSS) in general and describes essential OSS for integrated library systems (ILS), digital library systems (DLS), and content management systems (CMS) in particular.
