The study was based on Job Satisfaction among the library professional, on the basis of their working condition. The objectives of the study were to find out the difference between male and female employees on the basis of their working environment. In this study researcher use the job satisfaction questionnaire developed by the singh (1987) to measure the level of job satisfaction of the library professionals. It contains 20 items 5 point rating scale. The reliability of the scale by using test retest method, it is 0.978 and the validity coefficient is 0.743. Data were collected, organized quantitatively and tabulated by using statistical method, tables, and percentages. The result shows that, at the level of ‘job security’. The male employees of Jamia Hmadard University had highest score. At the same level the highest score of female employees of Jamia Hamdard also got highest score. The level of ‘working condition’ the score of male employees of Delhi University was highest at the same level the score of female employees of Jamia Hamdard were highest among other universities. The level of ‘rate of pay’, the score of highly satisfied male employees of JNU was higher at the same level the score of female employees of Jamia Hamdard was also higher.
