Letters of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad: A bibliometric analysis

Abstract

Published letters written by Maulana Azad counts to two hundred and sixty three including a few telegrams. These letters form the substantial part of intellectual output of Maulana Azad's writings. This paper attempts to study the growth pattern of letters written by Maulana Azad and to find out whether it follows Bradford's law. It is observed from the study that Maulana Azad had written 263 letters covering all aspects such as Islam, Literature, Indian History, Biography, Autobiography and it does not strictly satisfy Bradford's Bibliometric law. There are many letters which do not have any specific theme.
