International journal of information dissemination and technology (IJIDT) from 2011–2017: A bibliometric analysis

Abstract

In this paper presents a ‘bibliometric’ analysis of the International Journal of Information Dissemination Technology during the period of (2011–2017) in which a total number of 333 research papers were published in the journal. The aim of this research paper was to examine various types of bibliometric patterns such as distribution of articles, authorship pattern, prolific authors pattern, geographical distributions, authors productivity, degree of collaborations, and found that two authors contributions are maximum (142) articles, followed by single author with (116) contributions, Ashok Kumar was the highest contributor with 29, constituting (30.39%) publications and got the first rank, followed by B. M. Gupta with 22, constituting (17.74%) contributions and secure second positions. Punjab is the highest contributor amongst Indian State and Union Territories.
