Small Hydropower Development - Run-Of River Schemes in Tamil Nadu

The authors have brought out the need for development of small hydro schemes, particularly in run-of-river schemes. They have also explained the advantages and the power potential available for development of small hydro power. The details of the run-of-river schemes executed, to be taken up for execution and at investigation stages by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board are also discussed.
