*This paper is part of a projected book on the Indian diaspora in various parts of the world. It makes an effort to draw the contours of Sandwich Culture that the migrants developed while living in Trinidad. Similar contours are proposed to be drawn for few other countries. The specific feature of Trinidad is that the Indian diaspora here came first as the indentured labour.
