Abstract

Variations in blood indices i.e. haemoglobin (Hb), total erythrocyte count (TEC), packed cell volume (PCV), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), osmotic fragility (OF), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC), total leucocytic count (TLC), differential leucocytic count (DLC), platelet count (PLT), bleeding time (BT), clotting time (CT), specific gravity (Sp. Gr.) and viscosity (V) due to ambience were studied in non descript cows. Significant (p<0.05) effect of ambience was observed on Hb, TEC, PCV, PLT, Sp.Gr., V and ESR values.
