Seminal attributes of desi cock after administration of Cow Urine Distillate (CUD)

The present study was conducted to evaluate seminal attributes of desi cock after administration of Desi cow urine distillate (CUD) at the rate of 1 ml per bird per day. Semen samples were collected from 20 desi cock by massage method after administration of 1 ml CUD daily for 40 days. The ejaculation time (76.6±1.327 vs 75.7±1.264 seconds) of treated and untreated cocks was non-significant. The ejaculate volume, live sperm percentage and normal sperm percentage were also not different between treated and untreated cocks. Whereas, the motile percentage and sperm concentration varied significantly (p<0.01) between treated and untreated cocks.
