Abstract

In this study, the seroprevalence of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) has been investigated in an organized farm at Bharari, Jhansi. A total of 189 serum samples from cattle (34 male and 155 female) were tested by indirect ELISA and 38% male and 66% female serum samples were found positive with a overall 61% positivity to antibodies to BHV-1. It indicates that the disease is prevalent in that farm and ELISA has been successfully adopted to screen the serum samples.
