The experiment was laid out at Horticulture Farm, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (Chhattisgarh) during rabi season of 2010–11 to study the effect of varying levels of NPK fertilizers viz 75%, 100% (150: 100: 100 NPK kg/ha), 125% and 150% recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) and size of seed tubers viz 20–30, 30–40, 40–50 g on growth and yield of potato. Plant height, fresh and dry weight of shoots per plant, fresh and dry weight of tubers per plant was observed highest in 150% RDF. 40–50 grams seed tuber size response better to various growth and yield traits. The interaction between 150% RDF combined with 40–50 g seed tuber size was found to be remarkably superior to all the other treatment combinations and the highest yield of tubers (334.80 q/ha) was recorded in this treatment combination.
