Abstract

Assessment of diurnal variation in physical-chemical characteristics in relation to phytoplankton in upper basin of Bhoj wetland, Bhopal was carried out at Kamala park sampling site. Water samples were carried out between 24 hours at 4 hourly interval in February 21 and 22 and in March 24 and 25/2008 to analyze various water quality parameters like temperature, transparency, pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, Do, alkalinity, total hardness and phytoplankton status. From the values of all these parameters, it is observed that there is a fluctuating behavior throughout the study period.
