Abstract

Precision forming involves the application of technologies and principles to manage spatial and temporal variability associated with all the future aspects of horticulture production for improving of crop performance and environmental quality. It covers a variety of intervention such as drip irrigation, fertigation, protected cultivation, soil leaf nutrient based fertilizer management, mulching, micro propagation, use of bio-fertilizer, vermiculture and high density planting. In precision farming no of new technology develops for different crops such as management information system (MIS) and quantitative evolution of fertility soil. Utilization of these interference orchestrated together having aim of achieving higher output in given time period leads to precision farming, which largely a knowledge driven. General crop which have tremendous potential of precision farming practiced with organic farming such as banana, grape, pomegranate, tomato, chilli, capsicum and selected flowers as green house technology. So in Indian agriculture, precision agriculture with organic farming will be very revolutionizing management system for horticulture production.
