Kashmir valley represents the temperate climatic conditions and is well suited for the bivoltine sericulture. The sericulture in the region however, sustains on tree type of plants under extensive type of plantation. The present investigation describes the performance of seven mulberry genotypes viz Goshoerami, C4, Morus multicaulis, Chinese white and Tr-10 grown as trees under different locations in Kashmir. The experiment was laid in a randomized block design having four replications. The plantation was maintained by following the advocated package of practices for temperate conditions. Data revealed that out of five genotypes Goshoerami gave the maximum leaf yield of 4.8 tons/ha in autumn season. Biochemical analysis revealed TR-10 to be higher in carbohydrate and protein content. The study revealed that Goshoerami along with TR-10 should be given preference over the local varieties which are available in wild for obtaining good productivity at farmer's level.
