The evapotranspiration is a crucial factor for study of water budget system. The conventional methods using meteorological data are cumbersome and impractical at places where meteorological stations are absent. An attempt to study the Evapotranspiration for Kanpur region has been done using remote sensing with minimum ground data. The value thus derived is then verified with the ground observations obtained from meteorological stations. A fair estimate of ET is derived in results. Using the other ground values the estimated ET has been correlated with various weather parameters.
