A trial was conducted during Kharif season of 2011 to find out effect of triacontanol (TRIA) (1 and 2 nl/ml), indole acetic acid (IAA) (20 and 40 μg/ml), gibberellic acid (GA) (20 and 40 μg/ml) and naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) (10 and 20 nl/ml) along with control on growth, yield and quality of paddy var. NDR-359. Lower dose of TRIA improved the growth parameters like total number of leaves/plant, chlorophyll intensity and total dry matter production/plant which ultimately increased yield attributes viz. test weight and harvest index. Quality characters of paddy namely protein content and starch content were also improved by TRIA. IAA improved only protein content.
