Abstract

Buffer soluble proteins from groundnut leaf showed seven numbers of bands in all varieties and they are polymorphic in nature. The seedlings of GG-6 and TG-26 did not show any bands for peroxidase and catalase isoenzymes, respectively and they are polymorphic in nature. Only three polymorphic bands out of seven were observed for SOD for all varieties. The dendrogram constructed using the pooled RAPD loci and combined RAPD isoenzymes, native protein and SDS protein data clearly indicated that genotype GG-2 and GG-4 were similar, while TPG-41 was found to be non-similar from other genotypes. Genotype TPG-41 showed maximum variability.
