Medicinal plants of Amarkantak Region, district Anuppur (MP) and their uses as alternative way of treatment: A review

Abstract

Medicinal plants are preferred globally to cure many diseases over the synthetic drugs. Use of synthetic drugs have various side-effects such as nausea, hair loss, fatigue, and anemia. Approximately, 85% of rural population in India depends upon wide varieties of plants for treatment of ailments and diseases. The tribal area of Amarkantak and nearby region show remarkable diversity of plants more so of medicinal plants. Present review focuses on uses of different medicinal plants for the treatment of number of diseases.
