Abstract

The experiment consisting of 15 mungbean genotypes/varieties were carried out in Randomized Block Design in triplicate at Agricultural Research Farm, Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya, Chitrakoot, Satna (M.P.) during kharif 2023-2024 for morphological and biochemical characters analysed in Biochemistry Lab, School of Health Sciences, C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur. The range of variability of various characters were days to 50% flowering, (32.67-53.00), No. of primary branch per plant (3.2-9.47), No. of pods per plant (20.73-61.4), No. of seeds per pod (4.53-9.2), plant height (52.0- 93.53 cm), days to maturity (65.33-77.33), 100-seed weight in gm (2.87-5.1) moisture% (9.13-15.54), oil% (1.7-2.63), crude protein% (23.14-26) and seed yield kg/ha (439.73-748.67). Among the genotypes/varieties, genotypes BM-4, PKVAKM 4, RMG 1087 and LGG 607 were found promising for yield potential as well as from point of view of nutrition.
