Isometric hand grip test: a tool to evaluate autonomic sympathetic function in pregnancy

The study is the response to isometric hand grip test in 30 healthy pregnant volunteers in 20^th to 29^th weeks of singleton pregnancy with a mean of 25.2 gestational weeks. The increase in both the systolic and diastolic blood pressure was significantly lower in the pregnant group than in the control group. Both groups showed similar heart rate responses to isometric hand grip stress.
