Abstract

Laparoscopic repair of peptic ulcer perforation was first reported in 1990 [1, 2]. Since then the world over, more and more perforations are being repaired by laparoscopy [3, 4].

However these advanced procedures are largely out of the reach of the common population in our country and for patients in our municipal hospitals a laparotomy is mandatory for the treatment of a perforated duodenal ulcer. We present this case report of 30 year old male with duodenal ulcer perforation managed by laparoscopy in a municipal hospital.
