Abstract

The formation of β-cyclodextrin derivative (β-CDd) self-assembled monolayer (SAM) on gold electrode was monitored in situ by using quartz crystal microbalance (QCM). The process of temperature and concentration on the formation of SAM and the influences of the pH values of solution on the stability of SAM were studied. The results revealed that the kinetics of SAM formation was in line with the Langmuir adsorption equation quite well.
