Abstract

From vanillin, four Schiff bases were synthesized. The density, viscosity and ultrasonic velocity of solution of these Schiff bases in 1,4-dioxane and dimethylformamide were measured at 308.15 K. From these experimental data, various acoustical properties were calculated and the results are interpreted in terms of molecular interactions occurring in the solutions.
