The novel condensed copolymer MSDMTU (Melamine-Silicic Acid-N, N’ Dimethylthiourea) is prepared in stochiometeric ratio 3:3:1 w/w in ethanol medium. It has been characterized with elemental and spectral analysis (IR, UV and 1H NMR). The analysis and the characterization indicate the replacement of all hydroxyl groups of silicic acid and formation of a copolymer. The elemental and spectral data of the copolymer MSDMTU are correlated with their structural evidences and compatibility. Such materials may open a futuristic door for conducting and metal scavenging polymers.
