A elegant Synthesis of some novel 1,2,3-triazole derivatives are described. Dichloronaphthoquinone (1) reacts with sodium azide to form naphthaquinone diazide (2), is converted in to monoiminotriphenylphosphorane (3) by the treatment of triphenylphosphine. The compound (3) is converted in to 2amino-1, 2, 3-triazole derivatives by using dilute acid (1N HCl). The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by spectral and elemental analyses.
