Abstract

Organic food and farming is under the spotlight. More people are buying organic products and more questions are being asked about organic food and farming. Food produced organically contains fewer contaminants. Some scientific studies have shown that there are more beneficial nutrients in organically produced food. But, conversion from intensive to organic farming is scarce. However, both the conversion of farmers to organic farming and of consumers to organic food is the driving force for the development of the organic sector.
