The Study on diversity of Short-horned Grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Califra) in Sukhna wildlife Sanctuary and Catchment Area, Chandigarh, India

During present study 43 species of suborder Califera were collected from Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary, Chandigarh. These species were collected from eighteen localities of the study area. The diversity studies explored 43 species belonging to 12 subfamilies, 4 families and 3 super families. Out of forty three species, 27 species are new records for the area.
