Abstract

Investigation on the impact of organic manures and chemical fertilizers on the abundance and diversity of insect pests of soybean was carried out at Zonal Agricultural Research station, University of Agricultural sciences, GKVK, Bangalore during kharif 2007. Application of 50% of recommended FYM (5t/ha) recorded higher foliar insect pests abundance compared to other treatments. Application of recommended FYM (partially decomposed i.e. 10t/ha) harboured highest diversity.
