The present study was undertaken to analyze the effects of livestock diseases on productive traits in the village herds of buffalos in Agra division of Uttar Pradesh during the reference period 1st January 2011 to 31st December 2011. The study was based on the data collected from 504 livestock owners in Agra division of Uttar Pradesh. One way ANOVA was used to analyze the effects of diseases in buffaloes. The analysis of the data (ANOVA) on milk reduction due to various diseases in buffaloes revealed the significant difference (p<0.01). Over all milk reduction due to different diseases in buffalo was 44.75%. FMD caused the highest milk reduction (52.64%) followed by diarrhea (50.31%) and HS (43.75%). The analysis of the data (ANOVA) on weight reduction in buffalo also revealed the significant difference (p<0.05) in weight reduction due to diseases. Over all weight reduction percentage due to both the diseases Diarrhea & Cold/pneumonia was 9.37%. Diarrhea was higher weight reducing disease (10.80%) followed by Cold/pneumonia (5.5%).
