Abstract

In this paper, heat transfer in the new storage water heater design in comparison with the ordinary one was investigated numerically. Heat gases passes across the annular cannel which is divided into sector cannels by axial fin, instead of passing through the round pipe that is existed in the traditional storage water heater. The heat transfer and pressure losses depend on the ratio of two cylinders diameters, angle of axial fin, inlet heat gasses temperature and the mass flow rate of the gases. The results show that for the equal gas flow intensity the new water heater has better efficiency.
