A simulation model for cement production

Abstract

The result of the simulation model for cement production in a Nigerian based industry is presented. The model has been used as an aid to simulate the cement production process. The method proposed is illustrated by analyzing a classical set of production data from the industry studied. The investigations carried out include developing the collected production data into a simulation model for cement production. The result of the research shows that, the simulated model, although produces the same amount of cement was faster in the production process, reduces production cost, improves product quality and increases the overall efficiency and productivity.
