Abstract

Strengthening of reinforced concrete columns is an essential part of structural rehabilitation in order to ensure that the columns have adequate capacity to perform against seismic and other loading patterns. The research work is significant in that the behaviour of FRP confined reinforced concrete column wrapped with various types of FRP at different thicknesses will be investigated. This investigation is significant on account of the development of regression based models for estimating the strength and deformation characteristics of FRP confined reinforced concrete columns.
