Abstract

Pulse Oximetry is an important medical applince for monitoring the percentage of the hemoglobin. The present paper reports development of a soft IP core for the pulse oximeter. The main feature of the soft IP core is alleviation of power hungry A to D converter. The core is developed in VHDL and prototyped by using Xilinx Spartan II FPGA.
