Abstract

Rainfall analysis indicated a declining trend in the basin for the years from 1992 to 2004. Decreasing trend was observed in Palakurthy, Kodakandla, Noothankal, Aravapally, Atmakur and Mothey sub basins. However, increasing trend was noticed in Torrur, Maripeda, Tungaturthy and Kushumanchi sub areas. For the entire study area i.e., Palleru sub basin, average rainfall was also computed and the trend line was fitted. It indicated a decreasing trend in the basin represented by the equation y = −8.1768x + 804.48.
