Abstract

In this paper we propose a novel technique for design and implementation of a microcontroller (8051) based, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controlled rectifier. The main features of 8051 based PWM controlled rectifier are simpler design, low cost, maximum range of voltage control and compact in size. The designed controller is tested in closed loop for speed control of a Direct Current (DC) Motor.
