This paper introduces investigation of an oversampled filter bank structure, which gives the resultant near perfect reconstruction of input image. Critically sampled filter bank generates aliasing in the subbands and therefore output image is not equal to input image. Multichannel filter bank developed for different oversampled factors means downsample and upsample factor less than number of channels. For filters design real valued even order, Direct form-II structure FIR filters are used and transformed into two dimensional form using frequency transformation techniques. Proper frequency bands selected for design to avoid aliasing in the subbands. Investigation of oversampled filter bank which gives output near input image using different oversampled factors and different filter orders for different images are carried out. The analysis of outputs of filter banks images are carried out by using peak signal to noise ratio [PSNR] of compressed images. Number of researchers were worked on critical sampled filter bank and they developed synthesis filters which gives the output near input image. This proposed filter bank design, analysis as well as synthesis filters with equal specifications and developed output near input image.
