In this paper, the purpose is to develop a prototype of an expert system dedicated to the restoration of the West Algerian's power system network. The problem of the restoration is a multi-objectives problem (re-feeding of the customers, reliability, speed of restoration) in highly combinative matter. The prototype was developed by using CLIPS, an interpreter of rules of production. Necessary knowledge in order to produce this prototype is drawn as well the operators experiences as theoretical. A set of rules indicate a stage of the reasoning of the domain experts at one moment of the restoration. The use of the algorithm of research A* makes it possible to find the optimal paths to goal, mainly a generation plant. The prototype proposed makes it possible to solve as well conflicts of knowledge as of strategies.
