Abstract

In any pipeline project, costs generally run into a huge amount. Thus it is necessary to select an optimal diameter, so that a balance can be made between economic and different hydrodynamic characteristics. In literature, it is found that the problem of finding optimal diameter of pipe consists of several parameters and a sophisticated or advanced numerical calculation which does not really help the filed engineer. Present paper devised a new method which is fast and reliable. Applicability of the present method has been demonstrated by a real case study.
