A comprehensive computer program has been developed to predict the performance of a CNG fueled engine. Thermodynamic combustion process is modeled as a turbulent flame propagation process with twozone (burned and unburned). The first law and the state of thermodynamic equations are expressed in differential form and integrated by Runge– Kutta method. Regarding exhaust emissions Nitric Oxide and carbon monoxide concentrations have been calculated by using the rate kinetic model in the power cycle. The predicted results of this model have been compared with experimental results and found in good agreement. The effect of various parameters, such as engine speed, equivalence ratio, cylinder diameter to the engine performance, efficiency and emission have been calculated and then the optimum parameter of the engine structure have been determined.
