Structural evaluation of spherical parachute

Abstract

Nowadays, we use parachute at relieve operation and as a sport medium. Parachute is designed in different shapes such as spherical, flat, by considering its application. Parachute designing is carried out in two stages, Aerodynamic and Structural evaluation. We usually use woven fabric as an orthotropic shell for producing parachutes. In this paper, we analyzed spherical parachute structurally. Also, air distribution in it was assumed invariable. In this research the solution of shell equation was presented in analytic method.
