This paper presents techno-economic analysis of standalone solar thermoelectric power generator (STEPG) for a rural residential energy demand. The STEPG consist solar parabolic dish collector and thermoelectric generator, the concentrated solar radiation in focal point is drive thermoelectric generator to generate electricity. The system is simulated for hourly average solar radiation for meeting the annual rural house typical energy demand of 125 kWh. The economic analysis is performed using the parameters such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value(NPV) and Pay Back Period (PBP) based on cost of energy delivered and cost of hardware and labour at rural site to show its economic potential. Payback period was found 1.3 years and IRR 4% in 18 years.
