A new method for generating low order models for large-scale multivariable interval system using simplified polynomial derivative technique is proposed. The proposed reduced order model always remains stable for stable higher order original interval system. The method is based on polynomial differentiation and is computationally simple as it avoids the necessity of formation of long Routh-type differentiation arrays and reciprocal transformations, unlike some of the existing polynomial differentiation based methods. New algorithms are developed for obtaining the numerator and denominator polynomials of the reduced order model.
