Abstract

Applications of power line communication have been extensively increased; provided numerous services in homes, schools and hospitals. This paper proposing a system using existing power wires as communication media. Remote monitoring human health system represents an extra facility in sophisticated medical instrumentation field. Monitoring patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Provides Pre-diagnostic parameters like: blood pressure, heart rate, Apnea cardiac output, and blood oxygen levels these parameters are quit useful to assess human health state. In this paper a system based on embedded system technology using simplex serial communication and low voltage power line as a communication channel has been designed and implemented.
