This research paper is prepared as an account of work sponsored by an agency of India, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) under Research Promotion Scheme (RPS). The concept paper represents possible potential of solar radiation also the analysis of different parameters involved in solar power generation for strategic investment in Remote area Development. To determine its feasibility the Energy Centre Rajeev Gandhi Technological University Bhopal M.P (India) has installed a solar-wind-biomass tribid power station in Bhopal mainly for educational and research purposes. This11.6 kW capacity power station generates electricity from solar, wind& biomass at 230V and 50Hz frequency. A complete state-of-art Weather monitoring station is installed at the station to monitor various parameters. The parameters include ambient temperature, solar radiation, humidity, charging current, battery bank voltage (maximum and minimum battery voltage), voltage of individual cells, kWh consumed by the load and Inverter output voltage and current. In this paper, a detailed description of the solar radiation and analysis of the readings obtained for various parameters are illustrated.
