Increasing need for various applications in all fields of engineering invites the development of new materials which suit the needs. Utilization of biodegradable materials i.e. natural fibers for various applications to preserve the environment from non-biodegradable synthetic fibers invites the development of natural fiber reinforced polyester composites. A country like India producing enormous amount of turmeric solid waste in th form of stems. The present investigation deals with the preparation of turmeric FRP composites and to determine the flexural and impact properties with increase in percentage volume fraction of fiber. Turmeric Tekurpeta CT-5 showed highest flexural strength and modulus compared to other turmeric FRP composites investigated in the present research. TP Tekurpeta 12.7 FRP composites shown highest impact resistance.
