Abstract

The method of digital sound synthesis inharmonic tones of musical instrument like piano is proposed which overcomes the problem of limitation in memory. The proposed method uses a mixture of additive, wave shaping, wave table and concatenating synthesis. Important Features are extracted from the recorded piano tones which are used. The synthesized tones are further compared with piano tones using correlation techniques. The method can be used in place of sampling synthesis which needs huge memory.
