Abstract

One of the most important factor in engineering is to design & launch the product. In this direction design automation of load frequency control system has been under active consideration for quite some time now. This paper present the software tool based on micro-controller which provides the desired output to control the speed governing system of the thermal power plant. The output produced by the software is based on the area control error and change in area control error. Fuzzification Techniques are applied to obtain the optimized value of proportional and integral constants. Output is obtained by using proportional integral control which is again implemented by using microcontroller software. This software helps the designer to build the intelligent load frequency control system without using bulky hardware. Moreover as it is software designed system so the values of set points can adjust to obtained desired and optimized output at any time.
