The rising prices of the raw materials and the concerns of energy conservation have resulted in an increasing interest in the recovery of materials and energy from the waste streams. In recent years, a number of credible surveys have shown that recycling and the concept of waste-to-energy appear to be practical. Compatibility exists for several reasons related to economic, environmental, political and social aspects. However, the impacts of solid waste pre-sorting on waste-to-energy facilities remain uncertain in different countries due to the inherent complexity of the composition of solid waste. Sampling& Statistical ®ression analysis has been made for the sample divisions of Eluru city, A.P, India to predict the variation of garbage with respect to the income and members of the town. By these methods we can be benefited in two ways – Reduction of Garbage and the generation of power. The problem that we face in future by this municipal solid waste and the ways to reduce this municipal solid waste by converting it in to useful work is also discussed. As per the present scenario the population is drastically increasing, the amount of wastage generated is also getting increased. So our main motto is how to utilize the municipal waste in a useful manner. In the first phase of sampling analysis select six divisions in Eluru and analyze how much amount of waste is generated per day is calculated by selecting the houses randomly for sample collection. In the second phase the data has been collected and analyzed for statistical and regression analysis to study the quantification of garbage with respect to income and population.
