Abstract

The platinum (Pt) diffusion gas electrodes are frequently used in chlor-alkali process industry, recently. The platinum (Pt) diffusion gas electrodes used in advanced chlor-alkali process has encountered many disadvantages such as flooding, which is the result of peroxide production phenomenon. The flooding reduces the process efficiency. In this paper new electrodes base on platinum/Silver as an alloy electro-catalyst are used to overcome some of the above mentioned disadvantages to increase efficiency.
