Abstract

The use of polymer modified concrete is investigated to improve the durability of concrete. The aim of the research is to investigate the durability properties of latex polymer modified cement concrete. Acrylic latex is used as a cement concrete modifier. The cubes were cast for the present study. A polymer content of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% by weight of cement is used. The acid test is conducted on the cast specimen of duration 7, 28, 56, 90 and 180 days. The experimental investigation revealed that by the addition of latex improved the durability property than the conventional concrete.
