In the present investigation, a micromechanical three-dimensional finite element model with governing boundary conditions has been developed from the unit cell of square pattern of the composite to predict longitudinal modulus and Poisson's ratios of the composite and the interfacial stresses for a fixed volume fraction of 50% and for variable The Poisson's ratio of fiber (ν12f) to matrix (νf/νm) from 0.2 to2.2. The finite element software ANSYS has been successfully executed to evaluate the material properties and stresses. The effect of mismatch in poison's ratios on the properties and stresses is discussed.
